About the Film
A talented but undiscovered artist has finally completed a piece he believes to be his life’s work. When he unveils it to the local gallery, they refuse to display it due to its ‘offensive’ nature, shunning him. Aggravated by this, he enlists the assistance of his well-traveled and optimistic companion to
sell it in different cities.
Fig Leaves is an animated short film
that combines papercraft and digital
animation techniques to create a fantasy
world. It follows two old friends, Friclan
and Teepa as they reunite for another
journey together.

About the Director
My name is Izzy and I'm a recently graduated student from the UK. Fig Leaves was originally conceptualised for my final year project assignment. The film in its current state received a high first. With my other projects concluded, I am now able to commit my time to finishing Fig Leaves completely. I'm looking forward to sharing the finished project.
I'm a digital artist with a keen interest in storyboarding, character design and concept art. Fig Leaves is my first attempt at animation, but I have previously worked on various live action short films and music videos in the past.
